Environmental Policy
WASTE MANAGEMENT LICENCE No. P/5/47
The Company recognizes that, as with all
industrial activity, its operations will effect the environment. We accept
our duty to manage our operations so that they are socially acceptable and
comply with all relevant statutory provisions. A primary management
responsibility is to protect the environment as an integral part of good
business practice in both the short and long term
Good management practices include:
- Regular review of environmental policies, procedures and
performance.
- Maintaining an awareness amongst employees of environmental issues
and providing training appropriate to their responsibilities.
- Co-operation with the relevant control authorities to enable
statutory provisions to be met and to take account of any guidance on
specific environmental issues provided by Government and other
appropriate bodies.
- Review new technology and operating practices to enable the
reduction in energy consumption, Plant emissions, trade waste and
effluent.
- A commitment to continual improvements via the achievements of
objectives and targets.
- Carry out assessment of the environmental impacts of new processes
and products prior to implementation and to take steps to reduce the
effects.
- Provide information to enable products to be stored, transported and
used without unacceptable effects on the environment.
- Display this document in the Reception Area and on site, where
possible. Copies of this document are available to members of the
public, upon request.
